Our stallions have been really busy in the library lately! Students spend time playing and creating with STEM games during book checkout, and take the time to silent and buddy read.. Most recently, our second through 5th grade students wrote letters of encouragement to veterans to be mailed to VA hospitals.

Yowell First Grade English Language Learners (ELL students) are busy learning to speak English via a computer program called Lexia English. Our students are so motivated to learn to speak English and are working very diligently each day. Keep up the great work students!

Attention all stallion families. Click on the link below to see a "fashion show" of this season's hottest lost and found trends! If you see something in the video that belongs to your child, please reach out to their teacher or Mrs. Dugger so we can get it back to them. All items will be donated on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Yesterday, Mrs. Cruz's class did a gratitude themed scavenger hunt during morning meeting! Everyone earned a prize for teamwork, good sportsmanship and collaboration. They are also having lots of fun finding Tommy the Turkey's secret hiding spot each day!

Mrs. Dillon's class practiced their fraction and programming skills today by coding Ozobots to "deliver" the correct pizzas to the correct houses. Awesome job, stallions!

Mrs. Dillon's students, along with all 3rd grade students, enjoy showing their knowledge of set fraction models, by creating a colorful turkey! The feathers of the turkey represent a set model and each one is unique! Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for all of our little turkeys! 🦃😁 Gobble! Gobble!

Today our GOTR girls showed their skills at the 10th anniversary birthday bash 5k for girls on the run! We are so proud of them! Thank you to Coach Kalee, Coach Stacey and Coach Kristina for your dedication to these girls!

Thank you Veterans. Today and every day.

Happy Veterans Day to all who have courageously served. We are very grateful for your dedication to our country.

Our ACE 4 students entertained both young and old during their living wax museum today. Some of the famous historical figures that were depicted were Cyrus McCormick, Orville Wright, Albert Einstein, and Galileo! Fantastic job, stallions!

Ms. Butterfield’s class is dancing their way into the weekend! Happy Friday!

Students in Mrs. Beard's reading class learned about coding this week and got to practice while reviewing patterns. In Mrs. Beard's homeroom class, students learned about elections and voting and got to take part in a cookie election!

November is off to an exciting start for our second graders! In reading class, they are working together and solving clues to break out their spoons before the ice cream melts in the How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World Breakout! They have to apply knowledge about the seven continents of the world during this breakout session. They also attended a science assembly where they got to see some awesome experiments!

Thank you Talewise for an amazing presentation today on all things science! Our students were blown away!

This week Mrs. Frack's Pre-K class is wrapping up their Tree Study. They've been having fun in the fallen leaves on our playground, working hard on scissor cutting skills, learning about items that are made out of wood from trees, and learning lots about how to form letters of the alphabet!

Reminder - There is no school for students on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for election day and teacher professional development.
Find our complete calendar at www.culpeperschools.org at the top of the page on the right side.

Happy Halloween, stallions! We're not sure who is having more fun, the kids or the adults! If you plan to trick or treat tonight, remember our motto, to be safe, be kind and be responsible!

Mrs. Gibbs & Mrs. Kearney took advantage of the warm weather last week and took their 3rd & 4th graders outside to practice writing target words with sidewalk chalk! Such a fun way to practice!

We've been having a ton of fun on our first SCA spirit day! Bats vs Pumpkins! Which team are you on?
