The FFA will be hosting a car wash/bake sale the week after school ends on May 24th from 1-4 P.M. The location will be Southern States at 13655 Beverly Ford Rd, Elkwood, VA. The money raised will help the FFA get to the State Convention.
What an amazing week of music for FTB! 🎶✨ On Wednesday, we were treated to the beautiful melodies of the Choir Spring Concert in the EVHS Auditorium. Then, on Thursday, May 2, the FTB band performed with their Spring Concert. Two incredible nights showcasing the talent and passion of our school's musicians!
We had the pleasure of hosting Grace Walbroehl, the VA FFA State Secretary on Thursday. AG students had a blast participating in their FFA 101 workshop where they played FFA Jeopardy, CDE/LDE Matching and AG product relay races. Thank you Grace for spending the day with us!

We had the pleasure of hosting Dwayne Bowman, owner of Humble Hydroponics, on Friday. He shared his expertise on hydroponic growing systems with our Ag students, igniting their passion for sustainable agriculture. Even more amazing? He generously donated one to our school!

For our last Career Cafe', we had the joy of hosting cosmetology expert, and Mrs. Kilby's own daughter, Raeghan Kilby! Raeghan spoke to students in the library about cosmetology, offering valuable insights and experiences that helped shape her career.

FTB FFA Horse Judging Team competed over spring break at their state qualifying event for FFA State Convention. The team and individuals placed in multiple divisions, as you can see by the ribbons! Dixon Heard placed 1st overall and will represent FTB this summer at convention. Congratulations to these girls!

The FTB Officer team celebrated Ag Literacy Week hosting a kindergarten class from Sycamore Park and reading “Logan’s Greenhouse” donated by Culpeper Farm Bureau. Students learned about various vegetables and how their edible parts may grow above or below the ground. They also got to spend time with the class pets!
Today was an Underground Spirit Day for staff members. In honor of March Madness, it was a college gear day! Staff members were decked out with shirts from their alma mater!
Congratulations to Alex Lesicka and Tenley Rendell for their terrific performance and presentation at the 44th Annual Virginia Piedmont Regional Science Fair in Charlottesville on Saturday. Their project: To Beef or Not to Beef, placed in the top four among nearly 100 competitors and was chosen to receive Honorable Mention! Congratulations Alex and Tenley! You did an amazing job and we are all so proud of you!

If you child will be changing schools (ie. rising 6th or 9th grade), you will complete an initial application, which will be available on April 8, 2024.

Floyd T. Binns is hosting a Hawaiian themed 5k run! On April
13th, at Eastern View High School, you can run or walk to
support our school. This run is for fun, so wear your best
Hawaiian shirt and register for the run. You will receive a t-shirt
when registered in advance as well as a Hawaiian Lei at the
race.
There will be prizes for the “most festive” and “best
dressed”, so don’t hold back on your Hawaiian running gear!
Look for information on flyers and posters around the school.
Forms are coming home with you as well so you can register.
The last day to register is March 26th in order to get a t-shirt.
Otherwise, you can register anytime or even the day of the
run! Invite all your running buddies, friends, and family
members. This is a fundraising event and all are welcome to
support our school.
