A colorful flyer for Floyd T. Binns Middle School's Pulsera Project. The flyer features photos of artisans and their handmade woven bracelets ("pulseras") in bright, vibrant colors. The school logo, an eagle, appears twice. Key text includes "Floyd T. Binns Middle School is proud to host The Pulsera Project," with bracelets priced at $5. Dates are December 2nd-13th, and sales occur from 7-8 AM, during lunch, and 2-3 PM. The project supports artisans in Nicaragua and Guatemala, promoting fair trade and funding community programs. A link to www.pulseraproject.org is included at the bottom.

Mrs. Zakielarz's World Language students and Mr. Harrington's Business students at FTB are getting ready to start our cooperative service project - The Pulsera Project. They will be running the sale from Dec 2nd through the 13th and selling pulseras during breakfast and lunch shifts as well as after school until 3pm. The prices of the pulseras are only $5 this year which is a drop from $7 last year. They sold close to 200 pulseras last year and their goal is to double that to 400 this year. If they reach their goal this year, those funds will provide the money needed to build a home for the family of one of the artisans and their family. Regardless of reaching that goal, all proceeds will go back to the artisans making the pulseras as well as health and educational programs in their communities.

Our students are excited about starting the project this year, and we've seen a tremendous amount of anticipation from our new 6th graders. Business and World Language students have been busy making class posters and flyers to hang throughout the school to promote the sale. Thank you for supporting our students to help them reach their goal for their service project.
